DFS COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP - 2026

(DESTINED FOR SUCCESS)

Women Destined for Success in Him founder, Cheryl Comer (Cheryl Comer Ministries aka CCM) established the DFS scholarship in 2014 for the purpose of granting educational assistance to benefit underrepresented qualifying students entering an academic college or university. This scholarship will be awarded in the amount of $500.00.

Eligibility Requirements

•  Must be a senior in high school.

•  Must be accepted to a 2–4-year institution following high school graduation.

•  Must have a 3.0 GPA when the application is submitted.

Submission Requirements

• Must submit one letter of recommendation from a teacher.

• Provide a letter of acceptance from a college or university.

• Submit a typed essay (250-350 words) on the topic " What Success Means to Me".

• Complete the scholarship application.

• The application and all items listed above must be completed by the applicant and submitted to the high school Counselor/school contact by March 31, 2026. Applications submitted after March 31st will not be considered.

The high school Counselor/school contact must forward the application and supporting documents to cherylcomerministries2024@gmail.com for review and consideration no later than April 15, 2026.  Please do not mail applications.

Important Dates

February 1, 2026

Scholarship opens.

March 31, 2026

Scholarship application and supporting documents due.

April 15, 2026

Scholarship packet forwarded to cherylcomerministries2024@gmail.com.

Scholarship Award

Counselor/school contact will notify CCM at cherylcomerministries2024@gmail.com prior to the School Awards Ceremony; a representative of CCM will deliver the scholarship to school or mail directly to recipient.
