Co-Founder of New Life Christian Center | Founder & Visionary, Cheryl Comer Ministries
Pastor Cheryl Comer was the Co-Founder and Co-Pastor of New Life Christian Center, where she faithfully served alongside her husband, Apostle Auzzie L. Comer, III, helping establish and advance the ministry’s vision of “Equipping the Saints.” Her dedication to New Life Christian Center was an important part of her lifelong commitment to serving God and His people.
She was also a Conference Host, dynamic Speaker, Panelist, published Author, and the Founder and Visionary of Cheryl Comer Ministries (CCM). Her love for God and His people was the driving force behind her life and ministry.
Pastor Cheryl firmly believed in the promise of Jeremiah 29:11 and embraced God’s calling to help propel men and women into their God-ordained destinies. Her ministry was marked by a passion for empowering others, strengthening faith, and equipping believers to fulfill their God-given purpose.
In 2018, Cheryl Comer Ministries entered a new season with the launch of Women of Royalty Trusting Him (W.O.R.T.H.). W.O.R.T.H. reached beyond traditional boundaries to empower women of all ages, races, and backgrounds to become all that God had preordained them to be.
Throughout her ministry, Pastor Cheryl annually hosted the Times of Refreshing Conference Retreat and Times of Refreshing Brunch, creating opportunities for women to experience spiritual renewal, encouragement, fellowship, and empowerment.
She was also the author of “We Walked Away,” a personal testimony sharing the powerful story of God’s healing and faithfulness in her life.
In 2024, Pastor Cheryl completed one of her final ministry visions with the birthing of “The Room,” a ministry initiative located on the campus of New Life Christian Center. The Room provides gently used clothing, shoes, suits, purses, and accessories for both women and men. Proceeds support the Destined for Success annual scholarships and other community organizations and outreach efforts.
Pastor Cheryl transitioned on May 24, 2024, leaving behind a remarkable legacy of faith, service, leadership, vision, and empowerment. Her impact remains deeply woven into the foundation of New Life Christian Center, and through Cheryl Comer Ministries and the countless lives touched by her work, her vision and legacy continue to live on.
